Club Guidelines

  1. Courts are for tennis only.

  2. Proper tennis attire is recommended.

  3. Non-marking tennis shoes only.

  4. When people are waiting, “no add” scoring is recommended.

  5. All guests must be accompanied by an OTC member.

  6. All players are expected to be courteous and respectful on and off the court while at OTC.

  7. After using the ball machine, please place all balls back in the machine. Unplug the machine, coil the cord and place it in the ball basket, and cover the machine before returning it to the back of the court near the electrical outlet.

Guest Policy

Members in good standing and who are current with their dues may invite guests to the club to play tennis and/or attend social events as follows:

Tennis:

  1. Members’ families and off-island guests may be invited without restrictions.

  2. Guests who are Orcas Island residents may be invited three times per year, not including live ball or public tournaments.

  3. Member lessons with a pro have priority over court usage within the time frame, if any, designated and reserved by the Board for lessons.

Social:

  1. Except for members-only social events, members may invite Orcas Island residents who are applying for membership or have an interest in joining the club.

  2. Members’ families and off-island guests may attend club socials.

  3. Guests must be accompanied by a member.
