Private lessons and clinics with Erick Rivera on Orcas Island

Erick Rivera has been playing and coaching tennis for nearly 30 years. After playing college tennis, he spent two years as a hitting partner for the Mexico’s Davis Cup team and later joined the team as an assistant coach. Later Erick spent five years working with and being mentored by Alan Mack, a highly regarded Canadian tennis coach. He began teaching at the city tennis courts in San Miguel De Allende in 2009 and, in 2017, took over leadership of the city’s tennis program.

In 2016 Erick began playing Padel and in 2024 became the Guanajuato State Champion. He continues to compete in tournaments throughout Central Mexico. In 2025 he won three tournaments and finished runner-up twice.

Today, Erick runs his own tennis and padel academy and oversees the padel programs at Capilla and Element clubs in San Miguel de Allende.

Private lessons and group clinics will be held at the Orcas Tennis club when space is available, at the city courts or the private courts.  

Pricing

  • 50-minute private lesson: $100/each or  $80/each when booking 3 or more lessons

  • 90-minute clinic for 4 players: $40 per person

NOTE: please add $10/lesson court fee for non-members
